DISCUSSIONS  (December 1, 2021)

An on-line tool to share knowledge, ideas and ask questions.

Posting a New Discussion Thread

  1. Select Discussions from the Navigation Menu on the left.
  2. Select a Discussion Category, if appropriate.
  3. Click on New Thread within the Category Folder.
  4. Add a subject in the subject line.
  5. Type a message within the body section.
  6. Optional:  Formatting, Add hyperlinks, Add attachments.
  7. Add Categorization, Related Assets and/or More Settings if desired (these are not required).
  8. Click on Publish.
  9. You will receive a SUCCESS notification.

 

Reply To a Discussion Thread 

 

Reply from the Notification Email

When a discussion thread is posted every subscribed member will receive a notification email including the contents of the post. Members may reply to the discussion directly from the email.

  1. Open the notification email, click to Reply.
  2. Type your response as you would any other email.
  3. Send the email.
  4. Your response will automatically post to the discussion thread within the collaboration and a subsequent notification will be sent to subscribed members.
  5. You will receive a SUCCESS notification.

 

Reply from the HYPERLINK within the notification email:

  1. In the notification email, click on the hyperlink.
  2. You will be directed to the message posted on the collaboration site.
  3. Click on Reply.
  4. Type your response.
  5. Click Publish.
  6. Your response will be posted and a subsequent notification will be sent to members subscribed to the Message Board.
  7. You will receive a SUCCESS notification.

 

Reply to the discussion thread within the Collaboration Site

  1. Navigate to the discussion thread you want to reply.
  2. Click on Reply.
  3. Type your response.
  4. Click Publish.
  5. Your response will automatically post to the discussion thread within the collaboration and a subsequent notification will be sent to subscribed members.
  6. You will receive a SUCCESS notification.
